About Me

I am based in Balquhidder in the Trossachs National Park. Here, the ancient woodlands, lochs and changing skies provide me with endless inspiration for my art. In my paintings I strive to explore the relationship between memory, place and the natural environment.

After obtaining a degree in Fashion, Design and Textiles at the Arts Institute in Bournemouth, I was fortunate to live for a time in Verbier, Switzerland. During my time in Switzerland, I used my skills to create and sell ski clothing and accessories.

On my return to the UK, I set up a business designing and making bespoke bridal outfits.  I combined this with an interest in letter pressing. Using a small platen press, I create bespoke cards and invitations.

However, a love of art has always been my driving passion. Living in Balquhidder, surrounded by the magnificent Trossachs landscape, has inspired me to return to my first love.  Using acrylics, I love to create art deco style images of local beauty spots and I also enjoy capturing glorious highland views using pastels.

I hope that my art will invite you to slow down, observe and rediscover the quiet power of Scotland’s wild spaces.
